Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Woman Rescued By Good Samaritans After Car Crashes Into Tree, Bursts Into Flames A woman who was trapped in her burning car after it crashed into a tree was rescued by good Samaritans on Long Island. Becky Boeckmann, age 35, of Bohemia, was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 eastbound in Islandia on Express Drive South, near Enter Lane, when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree at approximately 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, Suffolk County Police said. Father, Son Killed After Car Crashes Into Retaining Wall In Westchester, Police Say A father and his son died from injuries after an overnight crash in which a car slammed into a retaining wall in Westchester, according to police. It happened just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 3 in New Rochelle, at Pelhamdale Avenue at the intersection with the Hutchinson River Parkway northbound exit ramp. Shots Fired Incident Under Investigation In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after reports of gunshots being fired on a roadway in the area. Just before 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, officers in Rockland County from the Clarkstown Police Department responded to the area of Waldron Avenue and Toto Court in Central Nyack. Pilot Hospitalized After Private Plane Crashes On Long Island A pilot was hospitalized after a small plane crashed on Long Island. It happened just after 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2 in Riverhead in the area of 2995 Sound Ave. Responding officers found a small private aircraft was found flipped over with the pilot sustaining minor injuries, the Riverhead Police Department said.
