Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Tropical Storm Sunday: Henri Makes Landfall With a sustained wind strength of 60 miles per hour, Tropical Storm Henri made landfall early Sunday afternoon, Aug. 22. Landfall happened at around 12:45 p.m. Sunday in Westerly, Rhode Island, which is located on the southwestern shoreline of Washington County, about 12 miles east of Mystic Seaport, in New London County, Connecticut. Henri hit the New England Coast with heavy rain, in addition to the powerful winds. Officials in the area of the landfall are preparing for power outages as well as potential rescues due to flooding. ID Released For Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Long Island Crash The identity has been released of the person who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened around 11:05 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20 in New Hyde Park. A man driving a Yamaha motorcycle was headed southbound on New Hyde Park Road when he collided with a Toyota RAV4, Nassau County Police said. The driver of the RAV4, an 18-years-old man, was turning left while heading northbound on the roadway, according to police.  The motorcyclist, now identified as Heriberto Ramirez Ortiz, age 41, of New Hyde Park, was pronounced dead at the scene by Medics, according to police.&nbs…
