Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Car Near Long Island Intersection A man has died from his injuries less than a week after he was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle near a Long Island intersection. The incident happened just after 8 p.m. Thursday, March 25 in Mastic. Jonathan Soltan, age 24, of Manorville, was driving a 2009 Mazda 6 northbound on Titmus Drive when his car struck Jose Manuel Diaz Orellana, age 31, of Mastic, Suffolk County Police said. Serious Crash Causes I-84 Closure A busy stretch of I-84 is closed during the height of the morning commute after a serious crash in Connecticut. The closure is in both directions after the crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer happened on the eastbound side just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Northern Fairfield County near Exit 13. Connecticut State Police said the crash led to a large fuel spill. Eastbound traffic is being detoured to local streets at Exit 11. Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes if possible. It's Snow Joke: Storm Will Bring Up To A Foot Of Accumulation For These Parts Of Northeast Some residents in the region may have confidently moved their snow scrapers from the car to the basement after a recent string of springlike days. Missing Westchester Woman Foundv Update: A Northern Westchester who was reported missing by her family has been found. April Benson, age 70, of Yorktown, had last been heard from around 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, at which time she stated she was going to the Cortlandt Train Station to get a cab and head for Teatown Road in the town of Cortlandt, state police said. House Fire Breaks Out In Fairfield County A family has been temporarily displaced after a house fire in Fairfield County. The blaze broke out around 10 a.m. Sunday, March 28 on Live Oak Road in Norwalk. A neighbor had called 911, saying that there had been a propane tank explosion and that the house was on fire, Norwalk FD Deputy Chief Edward Prescott said. Upon arrival, firefighters found a rear section of the house on fire, but no propane tanks involved, although a gas grill was in the vicinity, according to Prescott. Teen Charged After Man Shot, Killed In Broad Daylight On Busy Long Island Roadway A suspect has been apprehended after a man was fatally shot in broad daylight on a busy Long Island roadway. The incident happened Wednesday, March 24 at approximately 3:35 p.m. in Port Jefferson. New Storm System Will Bring Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds With Thunderstorms Possible The second half of the weekend will see a storm system sweep through that will bring a new round of rainfall and gusty winds as well as possible thunderstorms.
