Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

21-Year-Old Killed After Car Crashes Off Long Island Roadway, Into Trees, Police Say A 21-year-old was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Long Island. The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, on the Southern State Parkway at exit 40 in the town of Islip. The victim, Christopher Gutierrez, of Brentwood, was traveling eastbound when his vehicle, a 2017 Subaru, left the roadway, striking a line of trees, New York State Police said.   Gutierrez sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to police. The collision is still under investigation and the state police are asking anyone who witnessed or with information to call 631-756-3300.

The incidents happened between 1:20 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Jan.  23 in Selden and Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County Police said.
