Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

IDs, Details Released For Double-Fatal Southern State Parkway Crash The identities of the 23-year-old victims and new details have been released following a double-fatal crash on the Southern State Parkway. Herson Gonzalez, age 19, of Shirley, was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot westbound east of exit 21 when his vehicle sideswiped a 2020 Toyota Corolla at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26 in Hempstead, state police said. Covid-19: Long Island Sees New Increases In Cases, Positive Rate; Latest Breakdown By County Long Island saw new increases in both COVID-19 cases and the positivity rate for testing, according to data released by New York State on Friday, Nov. 27. Statewide, the positive testing rate in all focus areas under New York's Micro-Cluster strategy is 5.69 percent, and outside the focus zone areas is 3.13 percent. Within the focus areas, 50,972 test results were reported Thursday, Nov. 26, yielding 2,901 positives. ID Released For Ex-Police Officer Killed In Three-Vehicle Fairfield County Crash A former police officer has been identified as the man killed in a three-vehicle crash in Fairfield County that left two others seriously injured. The crash happened in Easton at approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, on Route 59 between Maple and Judd roads. Two of the vehicles were traveling south and one was traveling north, said Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle. Covid-19: LI School District Goes Remote, Citing Concern Over Post-Thanksgiving Spike In Cases A Long Island school district has closed for in-person instruction as a result of concern over a possible post-Thanksgiving spike in COVID-19 cases.
