Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Car Crashes Down Embankment After Woman Swerves To Avoid Deer A car crashed down an embankment after a woman swerved the vehicle to avoid a deer in the Hudson Valley, according to police. The incident happened early Saturday afternoon, Oct. 3 in Rockland County on Route 202, just west of Mayer Drive in the Village of Montebello. The vehicle rolled over after going down the embanked, Ramapo Police said. Luckily, this driver was not injured. The roadway was temporarily closed as the tow truck removed the vehicle, according to police.

Long Island Woman Drove Drunk Overnight With Young Son, Daughter In Car, Police Say A Long Island woman is being accused of driving drunk overnight with her young son and daughter in the car. Nilsa M. Santos Romero, 30, of Hempstead, was operating a 2011 Honda when she stopped Monday, Oct. 5 at 12:15 a.m. in Hempstead.on Centre Street, according to Nassau County Police. One Killed In Crash Between Minivan, Bicycle In Hudson Valley One person was killed in a crash between a minivan and a bicycle in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 in Orange County in the town of Minisink. The bicyclist was traveling south on Lower Road approaching the intersection of State Line Road at the time of the crash, state police said. The incident happened Sunday, Oct. 4 at approximately 6:40 p.m. in Brentwood. Police Officer, White Plains Native Dies Suddenly At Age 25 A police officer who grew up and worked in Northern Westchester has died suddenly. Nicholas D. Hansen 25, of Pleasantville, died on Thursday, Oct. 1 at his residence. He was an officer with the Town of Bedford Police Department. He was born on June 15, 1995, to Dean and Vikki (nee Palmieri) Hansen in White Plains. He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Class of 2013, and went on to receive his Associate's Degree.
