Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

One Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Front Of Long Island Apartment Complex One person was killed in a crash between a car and a motorcycle near a Long Island apartment complex. It happened just after 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11 in Woodbury on Jericho Turnpike. While approaching Crossways Park Drive, a 2016 Toyota Camry being driven by a 28-year-old man attempted to make a left turn from eastbound Jericho Turnpike into the Fairhaven Apartment complex before colliding with a 2020 Yamaha motorcycle. Covid-19: Liquor Licenses Of 38 NY Bars Suspended For Violations Of State Pandemic Guidelines New York has suspended liquor licenses for 38 more downstate bars after finding what it labeled "egregious violations" of COVID-19 pandemic-related executive orders. Covid-19: Travelers From More States, Virgin Islands Added To NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List Travelers from two more states, as well as the Virgin Islands, with high positive testing rates for COVID-19 have now been added to the joint quarantine order for out-of-state travelers to New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Man Fatally Stabs Girlfriend At Their Long Island Home, Police Say A man is behind bars after police say he fatally stabbed his girlfriend overnight at their Long Island home. Southampton Town Police responded to 48 Ludlam Ave. in Riverside just after 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10. after an occupant of the home called 911 to report 33-year-old Bayron Fajardo-Gonzalez stabbed Tania Fox. Fox, 45, was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where she was pronounced dead., Suffolk County Police said. Fajardo-Gonzalez, 33, was charged with second-degree murder and is due to be arraigned Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Southampton Town Justice Court.

Long Island Man, 27, Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle A 27-year-old suffered critically injured after being struck by a vehicle overnight on Long Island. It happed around 10:10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 in Brentwood. Elna Panphile, 54, of Brentwood, was driving a 2009 Hyundai Accent eastbound on the 200 block of 2nd Ave., when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian, Wilmer Velasquez, of Brentwood, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition. Panphile was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.

Two-Year-Old Critically Injured In Long Island Crash A 2-year-old boy was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash on Long Island. The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 in Nesconset. One Killed In Crash Between Jeep, Motorcycle At Long Island Intersection One person was killed in a crash between a Jeep and motorcycle at a Long Island intersection.
