Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Drunk 24-Year-Old Drove Wrong Way On Long Island Expressway, Police Say A 24-year-old man drove drunk on the Long Island Expressway, according to authorities. A Suffolk County Police Highway Patrol officer observed a 2012 Ford Focus traveling westbound in the eastbound HOV lane near Exit 51 in Dix Hills at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13. The officer then initiated a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over. Luis David Romero Diaz, of Long Island City, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said. He is arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.

21-Year-Old Dead After Apparent Accidental Drowning In Westchester A 21-year-old man died after what authorities say appears to be an accidental drowning. The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was found around 7:15 p.m. Friday, June 12 in Westchester near Rye Playland and the Edith Read Sanctuary. EMS personnel performed CPR on the man at the scene. He was pronounced dead at Greenwich Hospital. Signs posted in the area say that swimming, fishing and kayaking are not permitted.
