Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree A 61-year-old local man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Wantagh State Parkway. It happened around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 on the southbound side near exit W6 in Hempstead, state police said. Man Ejected From Jeep, Then Struck By Truck In Fatal Rockland Crash A man was killed after being ejected during a crash and then getting hit by a tractor-trailer, state police said. The crash happened Saturday, June 6 in Rockland County at about 11:20 p.m. on I-87 in the village of Sloatsburg. An investigation at the scene revealed that Robert H. Protests Lead To Closure Of I-95 Stretch A stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County has shut down amid protests over police-related deaths. The closure, early Saturday evening, June 6, is northbound between Exit 15 and Exit 16. Just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Norwalk Police said there were now road closures now in the area of South Main Street near police headquarters, and motorists should avoid the area. One Killed, One Seriously Injured In Single-Engine Plane Crash In Hudson Valley One man was killed and another seriously injured in a single-engine plane crash in the area. It happened on Friday, June 5 at approximately 7:10 p.m. at the Wurtsboro–Sullivan County Airport in the town of Mamakating. The two occupants of the single-engine challenger plane were both licensed pilots, State Police said. Eddy R. Santana, 41, of Wurtsboro was found dead at the scene, according to police.
