Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Teen Becomes Combative With Cops After Causing Damage At Local School A teenage boy became combative with officers after he was found to have caused damage inside a local elementary school, police said. At approximately 1:50 a.m. Thursday, May 14, officers responded to an alarm at the Stratfield Elementary School in Fairfield. Suspects Flee After Two Houses Struck By Gunfire On Residential Long Island Street, Police Say Police detectives are investigating shootings that occurred on a residential street on Long Island. It happened Wednesday, May 13 at approximately 6:30 p.m. in North Bellport. Multiple shots were fired at two houses located on Doane Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m., Suffolk County Police said. It happened on Wednesday, May 13 at 12:15 p.m. in Coram. A Shoreham man was driving the 2010 Mercedes northbound on North Ocean Avenue, near Hawkins Road, when the vehicle struck the man who walked into the roadway into the path of the vehicle, Suffolk County Police said. ID Released For Man Killed When Minivan Crashes Into Pole On Long Island Expressway The identity of a man who was killed in a crash on the Long Island Expressway earlier this week has been released. The crash happened on Monday, May 11 just before 11:15 p.m. on the eastbound expressway, between exits 48 and 49 in Melville. It happened just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 in Bay Shore.
