Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Worker Rescued After Falling 25 Feet Into Pit At Long Island Construction Site A worker was pulled to safety after falling about 25 feet into a large foundation pit at a Long Island construction site. It happened around 10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 8 in Searingtown at 60 Shelter Rock Road, Nassau County Police said. 31-Year-Old Long Island Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash A 31-year-old Long Island man was killed in a two-vehicle crash overnight. It happened on Thursday, May 7 just before 9:30 p.m. in North Bay Shore. Michael Joya, 31, of Bay Shore, was operating a 2009 Ducati southbound on Ohio Avenue, when the motorcycle struck a westbound 2015 Ford Mustang at the intersection of Delaware Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. Joya was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.  The driver of the Ford, Jexon Martinez Padilla, 22, of Bay Shore, was not injured. Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Man A 77-year-old Long Island man has gone missing and authorities are asking for the public's help in locating him.  Roberto Gerez is a vulnerable adult with dementia who may be in need of medical attention, authorities said. He was last seen on Russell Street in Elmont at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 7 and is believed to be on foot.  Roberto is Hispanic and speaks only Spanish.
