Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect At Large After Fatal Bridgeport Shooting Police are searching for a suspect in a fatal overnight shooting in Bridgeport. It happened around 11:10 p.m. Friday, March 27 in the area of Wordin Avenue and Cherry streets. The victim — identified as 37-year-old Robert Belton — was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after. Detectives have interviewed witnesses and are processing a large crime scene on Wordin Avenue.  It was Bridgeport's fourth homicide of 2020 and the first since Friday, Feb. 14. On Friday, March 27, at approximately 11:25 a.m., Peekskill Police and EMS responded to 214 N. Long Island 21-Year-Old Killed When Car Crashes Into Utility Pole, Police Say A 21-year-old Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into a utility pole overnight. It happened on Friday, March 27 at around 5:18 a.m. in North Massapequa. The victim, Anthony Cardillo, 21, of Massapequa, was traveling south on North Broadway in a Town of Oyster Bay Public Safety Vehicle when he struck the utility pole at the intersection of North Pine Street, Nassau County Police said.  As a result of the collision, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
