Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released For 19-Year-Old Woman Found Dead Inside Long Island Residence A 19-year-old woman who was found dead inside a Long Island residence has been identified. At about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, Nassau County Police Department officers responded to a 911 call for an aided person located at a residence in Hempstead on Harriman Avenue.   Upon arrival, officers found the woman, now identified as Maria D. Rodriguez–Perez, dead.   A 26-year-old man at the scene was transported to Mercy hospital for treatment. A homicide investigation is ongoing. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Eight Have Now Died From Covid-19 Outbreak In Connecticut With Number Of Cases Now 327 Eight Connecticut residents have now died as a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. The most recent fatality reported was a New Canaan woman in her 80s. She lived in a private residence and died at Norwalk Hospital, authorities said. Suspect In Custody After Man Injured In Broad-Daylight Stratford Shooting A suspect is in custody after a man was shot in broad daylight in Stratford. It happened on Saturday, March 21 just before noontime at 894 East Broadway, Stratford Police said. Upon arrival, officers learned that at least two shots were fired and a male victim was transported to a local hospital by a neighbor for treatment. During the investigation, a firearm was located and a suspect found and detained, police said. The investigation is ongoing and no further information has been released. The shooting was an isolated incident and there is no danger to residents, police said.
