Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect Nabbed In Drive-By Long Island Shooting A 20-year-old suspect has been charged after a man was injured in a drive-by shooting on Long Island. The shooting happened on Saturday, Feb. 22 at approximately 3:40 p.m. in Bay Shore. Suffolk County Police Third Squad officers responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired and found the victim shot in front of 89 2nd Ave. The man was standing in front of a house when a car pulled up and multiple shots were fired, striking the man, police said. Man Killed After Being Struck By Two Vehicles On Long Island Roadway A man was killed after being hit by two vehicles on a Long Island roadway. It happened on Sunday, Feb. 23 at about 9 p.m. in North Patchogue. The man was riding a bicycle on North Ocean Avenue, just north of Vehslage Street, when he was hit by a Nissan SUV driven by Ira Dunne, 42, of Selden, that was traveling northbound, Suffolk County Police said. The man was then struck by a second vehicle that fled the scene. Long Island Man Accused Of Killing Wife, Police Say A Long Island man has been accused of killing his wife during a domestic altercation over the weekend, police said. Officers responded to the residence in Merrick on Saturday, Feb. 22 around 2:20 p.m., according to Nassau County Police. According to detectives, police were dispatched for an aided call to a residence on Lindgren Street for a 58-year old woman who was unresponsive. Motorcyclist Killed In Long Island Crash A motorcyclist was killed in an afternoon crash at a busy Long Island intersection. It happened Sunday, Feb. 23 at about 3 p.m. in Center Moriches. Suspect Charged In Stabbing After Fight Breaks Out Overnight In Bridgeport A suspect has been charged in an overnight stabbing that happened after a fire broke out in Bridgeport, authorities said.
