Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

College Student In Hudson Valley Killed In Hit-Run Crash Near Campus A college student was killed in and hit-and-run crash near campus in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Ulster County outside SUNY New Paltz where the victim, Ray Rattray, age 22, was a student. The Ulster County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred on Route 208 in the town of New Paltz between the area of Hawk Drive and Cross Creek Road. Person Killed In Hit-Run Crash Near Firehouse In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after a person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened in Rockland County around 6:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 in the village of Pomona on Thiells Mt. Ivy Road (Route 47) in the area of the Hillcrest Firehouse. Neither the identity nor gender of the victim has been released. The Haverstraw Police Department is asking for the public's help, saying anyone who may have witnessed or has any information is requested to contact its Detective Bureau at 845-942-3730. Fatal Crash: 37-Year-Old Woman Strikes Concrete Parking Lot Wall In East Garden City Police are investigating after a woman was killed in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 in East Garden City. A 2016 Nissan Rogue operated by a 37-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on Stewart Avenue when it struck a concrete parking lot wall near the intersection of Selfridge Avenue, according to Nassau County Police. The blaze broke out at Orange Skye Day Spa, located at 50 Rockaway Ave., according to Nassau County Police.
