Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Woman Driving Drunk, Wrong Way Nabbed After Vehicle Bursts Into Flames On CT Roadway: Police A woman was apprehended outside a vehicle that had burst into flames after police say she was driving the wrong way while intoxicated on a Connecticut roadway. The incident happened in Hartford County just before 3 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 on I-384 in Manchester. Connecticut State Police Troop H in Hartford received multiple calls reporting a wrong way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. Driver Killed After Compact SUV Crashes Into Tree On Route 8 In Shelton A driver was killed in an overnight crash in Fairfield County. It happened around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 on Route 8 in Shelton. A 2013 Nissan Rogue was traveling northbound approximately one-quarter mile south of Exit 14 when it left the roadway and entered the roadside where it collided with a tree, Connecticut State Police said. Following impact with the tree, the Rogue caught fire. The driver, whose identity is not yet known, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. Fatal Crash: 33-Year-Old Mastic Man ID'd As Victim In Medford Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash on Long Island. It happened around 9:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 in Medford. A Mastic resident was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup northbound on Hospital Road when he lost control of the vehicle, which crossed over East Woodside Avenue and into a wooded area, where it struck multiple trees, Suffolk County Police said. The victim, identified as Kristopher Muller, age 33, of Mastic, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The strain officially known as BA.2.86 has been particularly prominent in New York.
