Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Fatal Crash: 37-Year-Old ID'd As Victim At Route 7 Connector In Norwalk One person was killed in a crash at a busy intersection in Fairfield County. It happened around 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Grist Mill Road and the Route 7 connector in Norwalk. After being sent to the scene, emergency responders found a vehicle in the embankment, according to Norwalk Police. The operator of the vehicle, identified as New Haven County resident Joshua Chapman, age 37, of Naugatuck, was extricated and pronounced dead by Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Services. Suspect Nabbed In Violent Break-Ins Of Women Home Alone In Mastic Beach Residences A suspect has been apprehended in connection with a pair of violent home burglaries targeting elderly women who were alone at Long Island residences, authorities announced. According to Suffolk County Police, the man entered a Mastic Beach home through an unlocked window on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and assaulted a 78-year-old woman at approximately 4 a.m. On Tuesday, Oct. 17, the man broke a window and entered another Mastic Beach home, assaulting a 75-year-old woman at approximately 12:40 a.m. Both victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment …

Rain Moves Out But Wind Gusts From Nor'easter Could Hit 40 MPH In Second Half Of Weekend Rainfall from a powerful Nor'easter has pushed off the coast but the storm's impact will linger into the second half of the weekend with blustery conditions, and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour at times, according to the National Weather Service. Suspect Nabbed For String Of Nassau County Business Burglaries A man has been charged in connection to a string of business burglaries on Long Island. Nassau County Police officers responded to Mr. Vape & Smoke Shop in Levittown around 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 located for an audible alarm. Upon arrival, they discovered the front window of the business to be broken and ransacked. The investigation revealed surveillance video of Christopher Gonzalez, age 35, entering the business, and removing an unknown amount of US currency and cigarettes before fleeing the scene. The closures, scheduled for early December, are all in the Capital Region, according to a report by Winsight Grocery Business: Albany, Colonie, Niskayuna, Slingerlands, and North Greenbush. Gun Violence Threat Leads To Postponement Of Homecoming HS Football Game In Hudson Valley A homecoming high school football game in the region was postponed because of a threat of gun violence. The threat was received several hours before the varsity contest in Dutchess County between rivals John Jay of East Fishkill and host Roy C.
