Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Sobriety Checkpoint: 3 Charged In Overnight Detail At Huntington Station Intersection Three motorists are facing charges after an overnight multi-agency sobriety checkpoint at a Long Island intersection. It was conducted in Huntington Station at the LIRR parking lot at Route 110 and Church Street from 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 until 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2. A total of 403 vehicles went through the checkpoint, according to Suffolk County Police, which was the lead agency involved in the detail. New Tropical Storm Forms In Atlantic With 2 Other Areas Being Monitored As two powerful systems -- Idalia and Franklin -- trek north, a new tropical storm has just formed in the Atlantic.Depression 8 was upgraded to Tropical Storm Jose just before daybreak on Thursday, Aug. 31 and the National Hurricane Center is monitoring two other disturbances. 46-Year-Old Killed In Crash At Brentwood Intersection One person was killed in an overnight crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29 in Brentwood. A 46-year-old man was walking northbound in the roadway on Crooked Hill Road, at Sagtikos State Parkway, when he was struck by a northbound 2021 Honda, Suffolk County Police said.
