Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

IDs Released For 3 Killed In Crash Near Shopping Center On Sunrise Highway In Massapequa The identities have been released for three people, including two children, who were killed in a horrific overnight crash near a shopping center on Long Island. The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6 in Massapequa. Storm Update: Tornado Watch Issued For These NY Counties As rounds of showers and storms sweep through the region, a Tornado Watch has now been issued for parts of New York. The watch is in effect until 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 in the counties shown in yellow. In New York, those counties are: Sullivan Broome Chenango Delaware Otsego Tioga Severe thunderstorms are expected to continue through the afternoon and in Monday evening. Severe Weather: Multiple Rounds Of Storms Will Bring Strong Winds, Flooding, Possible Tornadoes A frontal system bringing multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts to the area will bring both a flash flood and severe weather threat, according to the National Weather Service. Fatal Crash: Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Collision At Hicksville Intersection An investigation is underway after a midday crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6 in Hicksville. A 20-year-old man operating a 2019 Toyota 4Runner was traveling eastbound on Princess Street attempting to make a right-hand turn onto North Broadway where he collided with an adult male bicyclist. 21-Year-Old Rescued From Water After Robert Moses Causeway Crash In Suffolk A Long Island man was rescued after landing in the water following a crash on the Robert Moses Causeway Bridge. Fatal Crash: 35-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In 2-Vehicle I-95 Collision In Westport A 35-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County. It happened just before 6:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 on the northbound side in Westport when Connecticut State Police say a motorcycle collided with a car in front of it. The victim, identified as Frank Brown, of Waterbury, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. None of the five people in the other vehicle, a 2007 Honda Odyssey, was injured.
