A juvenile who feared for their safety jumped from a moving Lyft in New Jersey after a missed turn. But police say it was all a misunderstanding.
The incident happened on Tuesday, April 22, around 3:32 p.m., after the juvenile requested a ride home from school, Police Capt. Michael deMoncada said.
The juvenile became alarmed when the driver took a different route and missed a turn onto their street, police said.

A mother, her teenage daughter, and her sister who were killed in a crash on Saturday, April 19 in Connecticut will be laid to rest together this weekend.
Services for Florinda Antonia Tineo, 50, her daughter Gabriela Johailiz Difo, 17, and her sister Jeannette Tineo, 48, will be held Friday, April 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial. Child Porn Raid Reveals Prepubescent Images At 63-Year-Old Bergen County Man's Home: Prosecutor
A 63-year-old Bergen County man has been arrested on child pornography charges, authorities announced.
James T. Reilly, of Edgewater, used the Internet to view, download, possess, distribute, and share items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
The findings were announced following a raid of Reilly's home Wednesday, April 23, the prosecutor said. Reilly was arrested in Paramus and charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography and third-degree possession of child pornography.

Crack-fueled Rampage: Man Assaults Motel Worker, Charges At Cop In Lyndhurst, Police Say
A Nutley man under the influence of crack cocaine allegedly assaulted a motel worker, stole their keys, and charged at police officers responding to a 9-1-1 call in Lyndhurst, authorities said.
The incident happened Thursday, April 17, at the Winslow Motel on Rutherford Avenue around 7:30 p.m., according to Detective Capt. Vincent Auteri of the Lyndhurst Police Department.
