Ramp Between I-87, Saw Mill River Parkway To Close For Several Days In Elmsford Motorists are being alerted that a ramp in Westchester leading from Interstate 87 to a busy parkway will shut down for several days. The ramp from Interstate 87 to Exit 8A (northbound Saw Mill River Parkway) in Elmsford will close beginning on Friday, Dec. 15, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The closure will then continue until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, officials said. The five-day closure is to allow for ramp maintenance. Motorists are asked to instead use the posted detour to State Route 119 as an alternate route.

Over 2,000 Tickets Issued For Illegal School Bus Passes In 1 Month In Yonkers Only a month after a city in Westchester commenced the largest school bus safety program in the county, more than 2,000 drivers have been issued tickets for illegally passing the stopped vehicles.
