Man Shot At New Rochelle Apartment Complex: Suspect On Loose Authorities are searching for the suspect involved in a shooting at a Westchester apartment complex that left a man injured. The incident happened on Monday, Oct. 2 just after midnight, when police responded to the Peter Bracey Apartments at 361 Main St. (US Route 1) in New Rochelle for a reported shooting, according to New Rochelle Police Captain J. Car Bursts Into Flames, Causes Temporary Road Closure In Somers Part of a busy route in Northern Westchester was briefly closed after a vehicle went up in flames. The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 30 around 4:45 p.m., when crews in Somers responded to Route 139 for a reported motor vehicle fire. According to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department, arriving crews quickly arrived at the scene of the blaze and doused the flames with water within seconds, quickly extinguishing it.
