Man Breaks Into Darien Home, Sets Off Alarm: Police A 28-year-old Connecticut man faces numerous charges after he was found trespassing in a Fairfield County home despite being already warned to not return to the residence, police said. Lane Closures To Affect Stretch Of Taconic State Parkway In Yorktown Motorists who regularly travel on the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester are being warned of upcoming lane closures that will slow down traffic. Two lanes of the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown between Exit 17B (Bear Mountain Parkway) and Exit 14 (Baldwin Road) are scheduled to close on Thursday, Aug. 31, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The closures will last between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and will facilitate guide rail repairs, officials said.

Officers Use Tourniquet To Save Life Of Man Struck By Car In Mount Vernon A man's life was saved thanks to the quick action of two officers who tended to his severe injury after he was struck by a vehicle in Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, Aug. 26 just before 4:30 a.m., when two Mount Vernon Police officers responded to the corner of Union Avenue and East 3rd Street on a report of a pedestrian being struck by a car. Man's Body Found At Shopping Plaza In Peekskill Authorities are investigating after a man's body was found at a shopping plaza in Northern Westchester. The body was found on Tuesday, Aug. 29 just before 10 a.m., when authorities responded to the Crossroads Plaza located at 1101 Main St. (Route 6) in Peekskill, according to Peekskill Police Lt. Adam Renwick. There, police found a deceased man on the property of the plaza, who has not yet been identified, Renwick said. Body Found Inside Apartment In Yonkers: 'Suspicious' Death Now Under Investigation The discovery of a body inside an apartment in Westchester has prompted a police investigation.
