Springfield Police Officer Busted On Drugs, Gun Charges A Springfield police officer was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 13, after an early morning raid on a home in the city, authorities said. Miranda Caldwell, 26, who has been with the department since 2021, was charged with several felonies following the bust, Springfield police said. Anthony Tavernier, 24, was also arrested. Head-On Collision Sends 2 To Hospital In Western Mass; Woman Airlifted To Trauma Center Two people were rushed to the hospital Tuesday night, Dec. 12, in Franklin County following a head-on collision. One driver had to be cut from her vehicle before paramedics could get her to a doctor. The crash happened just before 10:45 p.m. on Northfield Road in Bernardston near Purple Meadow Road, Berndardston firefighters said. 21-Year-Old Man Killed In Western Mass Crash After Car Goes Airborne A 21-year-old Hampshire County man was killed Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, after he blew through a four-way stop in Easthampton, authorities said. $100K Mass Lottery Ticket Will Expire Soon: Here's What To Look For The Massachusetts State Lottery says a lottery ticket purchased on Jan. 8 will soon expire, leaving $100,000 unclaimed. The ticket — with the winning numbers 1-5-6-13-29 — was bought at 7-Eleven at 97 Union St. in Easthampton. State lottery rules allow winners a year to claim their prize money before they are forfeit.
