Man Accused Of Western Mass Murder Captured In Puerto Rico: DA A 22-year-old man accused of a fatal shooting in Hampden County before escaping to Puerto Rico will be brought back to face justice three months later, authorities said. Aleq Rodrigues, of Holyoke, is charged with murder in the killing of 30-year-old Edgar Soto-Irizarry on June 22, the Hampden County District Attorney said. Man Charged With Killing 12-Year-Old Brother In Fatal Boston Shooting: Police A 22-year-old Boston man accused of killing his 12-year-old brother over the summer was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 20, authorities said. Walter Hendrick, 22, of Roxbury, was arrested and charged with manslaughter, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, and witness intimidation, Boston police said. Methuen Man Drowned Trying To Save Child At Salisbury Beach: DA A man who drowned after he swam out to save a child in Salisbury on Wednesday, Sept. 20, has been identified as a 44-year-old father of four. Gary Simard, of Methuen, was hanging out with his family at Salisbury Beach when one of his children was pulled out to sea and could not swim back, the Essex County District Attorney's Office said.
