Western Mass Woman Wins $1K A Month For 10 Years In State Lottery A Dalton woman's decision to buy a $2 lottery ticket will pay off for the next decade, lottery officials announced.  Laurie A. Kisselbrock won $1,000 a month for the next 10 years on the "Decade of Dollars" instant ticket game. She chose to take the $12,000 before taxes annuity rather than the monthly check, lottery officials said.  Kisselbrock bought the ticket at Dalton Food Mart, 650 Main Street in Dalton. The store will also pick up a $1,200 bonus from the lottery for selling the winning ticket.

The family of Sidney Mae Olson said she was a "bright-eyed, energetic girl with springy curls." Beloved Western Mass Educator Dies Days After Car Crash; Parents Seriously Wounded Donna Woodcock, a former Greenfield teacher, principal, and coach, died this week after being critically wounded in a car crash on Friday, May 5. Ex-Boston Cop Sentenced To Prison After Gift Card Scam Conviction: DA A 49-year-old former Boston police officer who was convicted last week of multiple charges was sentenced to prison on Tuesday, authorities said.  Mila Depinaa-Cooley was convicted on three counts of receiving property worth more than $250, the Suffolk County District Attorney said.
