Long Island Man Nabbed For DWI After Passenger Seriously Injured In Crash, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested for alleged DWI following a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured his passenger. The crash took place in Islip around 1:20 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22, on Sunrise Highway. According to Suffolk County Police, Tevin Allen, age 24, of Amityville, was driving a 2018 Nissan on eastbound Sunrise Highway when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck the median about a half-mile west of Commack Road. Mastic Beach Man Accused Of Attempting To Rob Bank In Coram Police on Long Island captured a man who allegedly attempted to rob a bank but ran off when the teller refused to comply. Jonathan Buchanan, age 37, of Mastic Beach, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 21 for the attempted robbery which took place on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the M&T Bank in Coram. 4 Attending Vigil Shot In Mount Vernon Four people attending a vigil in Westchester were shot, leaving one in critical condition with a bullet wound to the head. Planet Fitness Manager In CT Accused Of Filming Naked Man From Ceiling A manager of a Connecticut Planet Fitness has been charged with voyeurism after allegedly filming a naked patron from the ceiling with a cellphone. The incident occurred in New Haven County at the fitness center in Naugatuck on Thursday, June 30. Suspect At Large After Shooting Victim Walks In To Hospital In Hudson Valley Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for a suspected shooter after a man walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound. The incident took place in Rockland County around 11:50 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Nyack on Depew Avenue. The shooting came to light when the Orangetown Police Department was notified by Montefiore Nyack Hospital of a man who sustained a gunshot wound to his forearm, said Capt. Michael Shannon. Suffolk County Will Notify Anyone Whose Data Was Compromised In Cyber Attack, Bellone Says Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced that residents whose private information is comprised due to a cyber attack this month will be notified by county officials. Cybercriminals on the "dark web" hacked into the county government system on Thursday, Sept. 8, and since that time have demanded a "ransom," to get the system back online, although county officials have not confirmed a ransom has been demanded. 2 Sentenced For Murder Of College Student In Hudson Valley Two men have been sentenced to prison for the brutal murder of a college student in Hudson Valley. Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler announced that on Tuesday, Sept. 20, Cornelius Stubbs, age 51, and Carlos Rivera, age 49, both of Newburgh, for the murder of a 21-year-old college student.
