Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Double-Fatal I-84 Crash: Update Released On 5 Students' Conditions, Bus Driver ID'd An update has just been released on the conditions of five students who suffered critical injuries after a charter bus crashed down a 50-foot ravine, killing two adults on board, late last week in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened on westbound I-84 in Orange County at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, in the town of Wawayanda, near Exit 15. The bus, which was heading to a band camp in northeastern Pennsylvania, went through a wire barrier and down the embankment. Rite Aid Plans To Close 400-Plus Stores, Report Says Rite Aid will close 400 to 500 stores as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization, according to a new report. The drugstore chain is now negotiating with creditors to formulate a bankruptcy plan that would include liquidating a substantial portion of its more than 2,100 drugstores, The Wall Street Journal says. Rite Aid is facing over $3 billion in debt and more than a thousand federal lawsuits alleging it oversupplied opioids, the report said. $1,000,000 Powerball Ticket In $748.3M Drawing Sold In Rye New York is one of three states in which a second-place ticket worth $1 million for the Powerball drawing on Saturday, Sept. 23 was purchased. It was sold in Westchester County at Chestnut Mart on 69 Theodore Fremd Ave. in Rye. The two other $1M tickets were sold in California and Florida. Covid-19: Here's How To Order Free At-Home Tests Through Mail Now The federal program offering free COVID-19 rapid at-home tests through the mail has just been restarted. Every American household may order four of the tests starting Monday, Sept. 25 by visiting covid.gov/tests, the Department of Health and Human Services says. Hudson Valley Woman Caught With Child Porn, Police Say A woman from the region has been arrested after she was allegedly found to have child pornography. Following an ongoing investigation, Ulster County resident Jodi Judson, age 54, of Saugerties, was arrested on Monday, Sept. 18 and charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a felony.
