Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Fatal Crash: Shirley 19-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After Vehicle Hits Tree In Rocky Point Police are investigating an overnight crash that left a teenage Long Island resident dead. It happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday, May 25 in Rocky Point. A 19-year-old was operating a 2007 Honda motorcycle southbound on Rocky Point Yaphank Road, north of Whisky Road, when the motorcycle struck rumble strips on the edge of the roadway, Suffolk County Police said. White Shark Tracking East After Pinging Off Long Island Coast A large white shark apparently loves Long Island and New England and has decided to stay awhile. For the second time in a one-week span, Frosty has pinged in the Atlantic, and it's apparently moving east. Measuring 9-feet, 2 inches, and weighing 393 pounds, Frosty pinged south of Hampton Bays at around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, May 13, according to the non-profit Ocearch group.
