Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect Flees On LI Expressway After Carjacking Outside Riverhead Outlet Store Police are searching for a suspect who fled on the Long Island Expressway after a carjacking at a popular outlet store. 1 Teen Killed, 5 Others Injured In Port Jefferson Station Crash One teenager was killed and five others suffered injuries in a two-vehicle overnight crash on Long Island. It happened Saturday, March 11 at about 9:30 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station. An 18-year-old Islandia teen was driving a 2019 Honda Accord eastbound on Nesconset Highway when he attempted to make a left turn onto Woodhull Avenue and was struck in the intersection by a westbound 2022 Ford Bronco, Suffolk County Police said. Woman Charged With Prostitution After Investigation Of St. James Spa A woman was arrested for prostitution during a raid at a Long Island spa, police announced. The operation was conducted at around 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 10 in St. James, at April Spa, located at 745 Middle Country Rd. 39-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Train In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after a person was struck and killed by a train in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened at around 3:35 p.m. Friday, March 10 in Ulster County in the area of Winsupply on Morton Blvd in the Town of Ulster. Registered Offender From Suffolk Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Child While Out On Parole A Long Island man who is a registered sex offender has been sentenced for sexually abusing a child while he was out on parole. Mall Security Guard On Long Island Accused Of Committing Sex Act While On Duty A security guard at a Long Island mall has been accused of committing a sex act while on duty. Jose Irizarry, age 33, of Holbrook, was working as a security officer on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, when he approached a 24-year-old woman who he suspected of shoplifting.
