Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

48-Year-Old Yonkers Police Detective Dies Suddenly A 48-year-old member of a police department in Westchester has died suddenly. The detective, a 16-year veteran with the Yonkers PD, died on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19 in New York City after he apparently suffered a medical event while operating a motor vehicle in New York City, according to preliminary indications, the department announced Monday morning, Feb. 20. Woman Struck, Killed By Car In Hit-Run I-91 Crash, CT State Police Say A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-rush crash, according to Connecticut State Police. It happened around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 in Hartford County. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was struck directly by a car on southbound I-91 in Enfield. She suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The car, which was traveling in the center lane just north of Exit 48, fled the scene, continuing southbound, according to state police. 2 Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Tree In Hudson Valley Two people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in a residential Hudson Valley neighborhood. It happened in Rockland County at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 in the hamlet of Blauvelt. A tan, four-door 2003 Acura RL was traveling north on Moison Road North when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree on the west side of the road, Orangetown Police said. Large Power Outage Reported In Part Of Hudson Valley Thousands are without power in part of the Hudson Valley after a large outage late Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18. According to Central Hudson, just before 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, eight outages are affecting 2,536 customers, including 2,507 in Orange County, mainly in the New Windsor area.
