Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Stretch Of Dry Weather Will End Just In Time For New Year's Eve: 5-Day Forecast A long stretch of brutally cold weather will be followed by a new round of precipitation heading into New Year's Eve. Dry weather will linger from Wednesday, Dec. 28 through Friday, Dec. 30 as temperatures warm into the 50s by the end of the work week, according to the National Weather Service. Long Island Expressway Stretch Reopens After Crash This story has been updated. A stretch of the Long Island Expressway has reopened following a crash during the height of the afternoon commute on Tuesday, Dec. 27. The closure, reported at around 5 p.m., is on the eastbound side in Suffolk County at Exit 61. Suffolk County Police announced around 5:45 p.m. that the lanes reopened.

Person Killed After Being Struck By Car Near Amityville Intersection One person was killed in a crash overnight near a Long Island intersection. It happened around 11:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26 in Amityville. A man was riding a bicycle from west to east across Route 110, near Ritter Avenue, when he was struck by a northbound 2009 Toyota Camry, according to Suffolk County Police.
