Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect At Large After 39-Year-Old Woman Found Shot, Killed In Mineola Police are investigating a homicide that occurred at an apartment building on Long Island. Officers in Mineola responded to a wellness check around 11:15 a.m. Saturday, July 30 at 140 Old Country Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a 39-year-old woman with apparent gunshot wounds, Nassau County Police said. She was pronounced dead by a Nassau County Police Medic. One Killed In Crash Near Kings Park Intersection Police are are investigating after a fatal crash near a busy Long Island intersection. It happened around noon Saturday, July 30 in Kings Park. Gregory Petriella, age 66, of Bellerose, was operating a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle northeast on Pulaski Road near Main Street when he suffered an apparent medical episode, Suffolk County Police said. Duo On Loose After Attempting To Steal ATM From Massapequa Bank, Police Say Police are searching for two men who allegedly tried to steal an ATM from a Long Island bank overnight. The two, while in a 2001 white Ford F250, drove up to the Chase Bank in Massapequa, located at 6 Carmans Road, Nassau County Police said. They then tied the ATM to the back of the pickup truck and successfully displaced it from its original location, severely damaging it, according to police. Tornado Touch Down Confirmed In Region During Round Of Storms A tornado touched down in Connecticut during a round of isolated, severe thunderstorms.The National Weather Service announced on Friday, July 29 that a storm survey confirmed an EF-0 tornado in northeastern Litchfield County on Thursday evening, July 28.
