Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

One Killed, Another Injured After Fight Breaks Out At Correctional Facility In Hudson Valley One person was killed and another injured after a fight broke out at a correctional facility in the Hudson Valley. The incident between incarcerated individuals in Dutchess County happened on Tuesday, June 28 at the Green Haven Facility in Stormville, New York State Police said. The identity of the person killed is being withheld pending family notifications. This investigation remains ongoing and new information will be released as it becomes available, state police said. Freeport Sales Clerk Charged With Selling Alcohol To Minor A Long Island store clerk has been accused of selling alcohol to a minor during an underage drinker enforcement operation. It was conducted in the village of Freeport on Thursday, June 23 by the New York State Police Barracks in East Meadow. 28-Year-Old Westchester Man Killed In Greenburgh Crash Police are investigating a weekend crash that claimed the life of a Westchester man. It happened on Sunday, June 26 on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the town of Greenburgh. An initial investigation determined Zahid Sotero Vergara, age 28, of Harrison, was operating a 2010 Aprilia motorcycle southbound and lost control of his motorcycle while changing lanes, state police said. Vergara was rendered aid by responding Emergency Medical Technicians with Greenburgh Police EMS who transported him to Westchester Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. This investigation remains ongoing.

Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Guide Rail, Tree In Hudson Valley, Police Say Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on a roadway in a residential area of the region. It happened around 7:25 p.m. Sunday, June 25 in Dutchess County on River Road North in the town of Wappinger. Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 91 for a rollover crash with an ejection, state police said. ID Released For Person Killed In Hempstead Crash Involving Drunk Driver, Police Say The identity has been released of a man who police say was killed in a crash on Long Island involving a drunk driver. The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. Sunday 26 in Hempstead.
