Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: Schools Can Safely Reopen If Proper Precautions Are Taken, CDC Says, Citing Research Children can safely return to classrooms in most communities throughout the nation if proper safety measures are taken amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) announced, saying evidence indicates that in-person instruction can be held safely as long as social distancing and mask-wearing protocols are in place. One Killed, One Critically Injured In Crash On Residential Long Island Street An investigation is underway after a fatal overnight motor-vehicle crash on a residential Long Island street. It happened just after 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 in Westbury. A 27-year-old man was operating his 2018 Honda Accord northbound on Carman Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a pole near Lake Lane, Nassau County Police said. Man Charged With Murder After Girlfriend Found Dead In Long Island Residence A man has been charged with murder after his girlfriend was found dead in their Long Island residence, police announced. The landlord for the property located in Huntington at 22 Elm St. called 911 on Monday, Jan. 18 at 2:08 p.m. to request that police check on the welfare of a tenant who had not been seen in several days. Teen Killed In Crash That Caused Long Island Expressway Closure An investigation is underway after a teenager was killed in a crash that causes the closure of a stretch of the Long Island Expressway. Franklin Eduardo Sajbin, age 22, of Riverhead, was driving a 2004 Jeep eastbound near exit 66 in Yaphank when he struck a 2018 Alfa Romeo driven by David Cohen, age 55, of Old Bethpage, at approximately 2:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, Suffolk County Police said.
