Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

MTA Worker From Hudson Valley Suspended For Allegedly Calling In Sick To Attend Capitol Riots A Metro-North worker who lives and works in the Hudson Valley who allegedly called in sick to be part of the pro-Trump riots at the United States Capitol has been suspended. The worker, Dutchess County resident Will Pepe, age 31, of Beacon, works as a laborer at Metro-North’s rail yard in Putnam County, in Brewster, as first reported by the New York Post. Covid-19: Most Cases Transmitted By People Not Displaying Symptoms, New Study Reveals Most COVID-19 cases are transmitted by people who do not exhibit symptoms, according to a new study by CDC researchers. The researchers, who used a mathematical approach to assess several scenarios, found that 59 percent of all infections came from asymptomatic transmission -- including those who are pre-symptomatic or never show any COVID symptoms. Man Dies From Injuries After Being Struck By Car On Long Island Roadway A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle overnight on Long Island. It happened on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at approximately 9:30 p.m. in Deer Park. Richard Prezzano, 19, of West Islip, was driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra westbound on Bay Shore Road, when the vehicle struck an adult man in the roadway, Suffolk County Police said. Covid-19: CT Positive-Test Rate, Hospitalizations Increase; New Breakdown By County, Community Connecticut saw new increases in both COVID-19 hospitalizations and the positive-test rate, according to data released Tuesday, Jan. 5 by the Connecticut Department of Health. A total of 30,458 tests were administered on Monday, Jan. 4 and 2,332 came back positive (7.66 percent rate). One Critically Injured In Long Island Crash Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a man on Long Island. Joel Kramer II, age 31, of Lindenhurst, was driving a 2007 Ford Expedition with a small trailer attached to the rear eastbound on Sunrise Highway in Sayville, just east of Lincoln Avenue, when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a guardrail and overturned at approximately 5:05 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, Suffolk County Police said.
