Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Small Plane Crashes In Hudson Valley A small plane crashed late Sunday afternoon, Dec. 27 in the Hudson Valley. The plane went down just short of a runway in Dutchess County at Sky Acres Airport in LaGrange just before 3:30 p.m. The pilot and single occupant of the Cessna aircraft was able to remove herself from the plane with no injuries, according to authorities. ID Released For Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Northern Westchester Crash The identity has been released of a woman killed in a  wrong-way crash involving another driver allegedly impaired by alcohol in Northern Westchester. The crash happened around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23 on Route 9 in the area of Main Street in Peekskill. An initial investigation revealed a black 2018 Audi Q7 operated by Mark E. Devonte Burgess and Shaquawn Humphrey, both of Wyandanch, entered the Shell gas station, located at 170 Bay Shore Road in North Babylon at approximately 10:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25, Suffolk County Police said. Avalanche Damages Ski Resort In Hudson Valley During Christmas Storm A ski resort in the Hudson Valley sustained some serious damage after an avalanche. The incident happened during the severe storm on Friday morning, Dec. 25 at Belleayre Mountain, located in Highmount in Ulster County, when the snow slid into one of the resort's lodges.
