Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: These Hudson Valley Areas Rank Among Highest In State For Positive Testing Rate Several locations in the Hudson Valley have among the highest positive rates for COVID-19 testing in the state amid the recent spike in cases across the region and most of the nation and the world. Covid-19: Long Island Sees New Increases In Cases, Positivity Rate; Latest Totals By County Long Island has seen increases in both the positivity rate for COVID-19 testing and the number of new cases, according to newly released data on Sunday, Nov. 22. The positive testing rate in all focus areas under the state's Micro-Cluster strategy is 4.39 percent, and outside the focus zone areas is 2.29 percent. Within the focus areas, 42,198 test results were reported Saturday, Nov. 21, yielding 1,853 positives. Blaze Breaks Out On 38-Foot Cabin Cruiser In Stamford A large boat fire broke out in the Dolphin Cove neighborhood of Stamford. Firefighters arrived on the scene less than four minutes after the blaze began at around 12:09 on Saturday, Nov. 21, and found the 38-foot cabin cruiser located at a dock behind 109 Dolphin Cove Quay was well-involved in flames. Three engine companies, one ladder truck, one rescue company, the fireboat, and the shift commander responded, bringing a total of 22 fire personnel to the scene, the Stamford Fire Departments said. Stormy Start To Thanksgiving Week Will Bring Up To 2 Inches Of Rain, Followed By Gusty Winds Thanksgiving Week will get off to a stormy start as a frontal system will move through the region bringing heavy rain at times, followed by gusty winds and a drop in temperatures. Sunday, Nov. 22 will be mostly cloudy and cooler with a high temperature in the mid 40s. Convicted Felon ID'd As Trumbull Mall Armed Robbery Suspect Involved In Hourslong Standoff The identity has been released for a convicted felon who allegedly committed an armed robbery at the Westfield Trumbull Mall before being apprehended after an hourslong standoff after a crash at a nearby intersection, police announced. The robbery happened Friday night, Nov. 20 at the Zales jewelry store inside the mall. Woman Struck, Killed By Car In Fairfield County A local woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fairfield County. It happened just after 5 p.m., Nov. 20 in Trumbull. The pedestrian, Lisa Cimmino, age 57, of Trumbull, was walking on Canoe Brook Road near Madison Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle, causing serious life-threatening injuries, Trumbull Police said. Nassau County Police announces the arrests of the two Lakeview women on Saturday, Nov. 21 for incidents that occurred in August. Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Deer In Fairfield County A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a deer in Fairfield County. It happened on Friday, Nov. 20 at approximately 3:40 p.m. in the area of 100 Hillspoint Road in Westport.
