Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: Long Island School Closed For In-Person Classes After Staffer Tests Positive A Long Island school is closed for in-person learning after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. South Woods Middle School in Syosset will be having its second straight day of virtual learning on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Long Island Man Turning Into Parking Lot Killed In Crash A Long Island man was killed in a head-on crash. It happened on Monday, Sept. 14 at about 2:45 p.m. in Port Jefferson. Kenneth Regan, 63, of Mount Sinai, was driving a 2005 Buick westbound on North Country Road when he attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot, located at 70 North Country Road, and collided with a 2013 Toyota being driven eastbound by Leanne Schreiber, 37, of Miller Place, Suffolk County Police said. Suspect At Large After 39-Year-Shot In Westchester A suspect is at large after a man was shot in Westchester. It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, in Greenburgh in the area of Manhattan Avenue and Elm Street in the Fairview section of town. The victim, a 39-year-old Greenburgh resident, is currently in stable condition at an area hospital, the Greenburgh Police Department said. Newly Named Tropical Storm Teddy Expected To Become Hurricane As slow-moving Tropical Storm Sally makes its way into the Gulf Coast with landfall expected in Louisiana early Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, there's a new system in the Atlantic that is expected to become a hurricane by midweek. Passenger Inside Vehicle Shot, Critically Injured At Long Island Intersection A 31-year-old man was shot while inside a motor vehicle driving through a Long Island intersection, suffering critical injuries. The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 in North Amityville.
