Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Teen Charged In Fatal Shooting Of 27-Year-Old Suffolk County Man A teenage suspect has been charged in connection to a homicide that happened on Long Island. Nassau County Police announced on Monday, Sept. 7 that the suspect, a 16-year-old Hempstead resident, was charged for the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Alexis Gonzalez-Sanchez, of Melville, who was found dead on just after 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16 in Westbury. Covid-19: Here's Brand-New Five-Day Testing Rate For Long Island After Long Island saw an uptick in the COVID-19 test positivity rate for four straight days, the percentage declined slightly according to newly released data. Here are the day-by-day infection rates: Tuesday, Sept. 1: 0.8 percent Wednesday, Sept. 2: 1.1 percent Thursday, Sept. 3: 1.4 percent Friday, Sept. 4: 1.5 percent Saturday, Sept. 5: 1.1 percent Statewide, of the 85,630 test results reported to New York State on Saturday, 729, or 0.85 percent, were positive. Two Shot, One Fatally, Outside Long Island Apartment Two men were shot, one fatally, outside a Long Island apartment. It happened just before 4 a.m.on Sunday, Sept. 6 in Hempstead. Village of Hempstead Police Officers responded to 43 High St. for a call of persons shot by an unknown subject from a vehicle. Two Teens Charged After Victim Shot In Head During Robbery In Area, Police Say Two teenagers have been charged after a victim was shot in the head during a robbery in the area, police said. Acupuncturist Accused Of Sexually Abusing Patient In Area An acupuncturist at an area facility has been accused of sexually abusing a patient. Dutchess County resident Detlef F. Wolf, 78, of Hyde Park, while working as an acupuncturist at the Acupuncture and Wellness Center located on Titusville Road in the town of LaGrange is alleged to have sexually abused the patient, state police said on Sunday, Sept. 6.
