Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Massive Three-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Restaurant, Spreads To Apartment Building In Westchester A massive three-alarm fire has broken out at a building on Route 1 (North Main Street) in Port Chester. The blaze began around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30 at La Dolce Vita Bar and Restaurant before spreading to an apartment building next door. One firefighter was reportedly injured at the scene. Covid-19: SUNY Oneonta To Temporarily Close After Outbreak; SUNY Plattsburgh Suspends 43 With more than 100 COVID-19 cases reported on campus, SUNY Oneonta will close for two weeks. The move comes just days after 43 students at SUNY Plattsburgh were suspended for violating COVID guidelines. Officer Shot, Wounded After Exchanging Gunfire With Suspect In Hudson Valley A police officer was shot and wounded after exchanging gunfire with a suspect in the Hudson Valley. The officer was responding to a domestic dispute at a home in Orange County on Myrtle Avenue in Middletown on Saturday, Aug. 29 at about 7:45 p.m. The officer was shot and then returned fire, Middletown Police said. Long Island Homeowner Walks In On Man Stealing Cash, Credit Cards, Police Say A 59-year-old man has been accused of entering a Long Island home and stealing cash and credit cards, police said. The incident occurred on Saturday, Aug. 29 at around 6:40 p.m. in Plandome Heights. Michael Demedina, 59, of Manhasset, illegally entered the Winthrope Road residence where he removed a wallet containing the cash and credit cards, Nassau County Police said. Wilton Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Massachusetts Crash A Connecticut man was killed in a two-vehicle Massachusetts crash. The crash happened in Bristol County at around 3:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 in Raynham, Massachusetts State Police said in a statement. Fairfield County resident Mariusz Laszcak, 53, of Wilton, was driving a 2006 Honda motorcycle when he collided with a 2016 International truck, state police said. Laszcak died at the scene, according to police. The 32-year-old truck driver, a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, was not injured.

Bicyclist Critically Injured In Crash With Car On Long Island A bicyclist was critically injured in a crash with a car on Long Island. It happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29 in Atlantic Beach. According to detectives, officers responded for a serious vehicular accident that occurred on the Atlantic Beach Bridge. A 27-year-old man was driving a 2000 Chevrolet northbound and struck a 46-year-old male bicyclist, who was also traveling north on the Atlantic Beach Bridge, Nassau County Police said. Jagger Diem, 18, Worked At Assisted Living Facility In Northern Westchester During COVID Crisis Jagger Michael Diem, a 2019 graduate of Fox Lane High School in Bedford who worked at an assisted living facility in Northern Westchester during the COVID-19 crisis, died suddenly Tuesday morning, Aug. 25. Currently, the watch is in effect for Dutchess and Ulster counties in the Hudson Valley, Litchfield and Hartford counties in Connecticut, and Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester counties in Massachusetts. Man Recorded His Sexual Assault Of Child In Area, State Police Say A man has been accused of recording his sexual abuse of a child, state police said. On Friday, Aug. 28, State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks responded to an address in the town of Stanford for a report of sexual assault. An investigation revealed Santiago A.
