Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Two Hospitalized In Serious Crash In Mahopac Two people were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a two-car crash in Mahopac, according to Jack Casey of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Mahopac Falls Fire, Rescue, EMS and Fire Police responded along with multiple units from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and EMStar paramedics to the corner of Secor Road and Agor Lane. Man, 21, Caught With Stolen Ford F250 On I-684 A 21-year-old man found walking on the southbound side of I-684 in Bedford had left a stolen Ford F250 on the roadway after the truck became disabled on Friday afternoon, state police from the Somers barracks said. At approximately 3:43 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a disabled vehicle in the area of 17.4 northbound on Interstate 684. Heads Up, Hudson Valley: Amazon Making 50K New Hires Amazon announced earlier this year that it was making 5,000 new hires with those hired for its customer service teams being able to work from home. On Wednesday, Amazon plans to hire 10 times as many new employees -- 50,000 -- with those workers being assigned to 12 fulfillment centers around the nation. Carmel Man Stopped On Route 6 Had Counterfeit Inspection Sticker A 21-year-old man stopped on Route 6 in Carmel on Sunday had a counterfeit New York State Inspections sticker affixed to the windshield, state police said on Monday.State police from the Brewster barracks said they had stopped the vehicle driven by Miguel O. Melendez of Carmel because the vehicle did not have a front license plate. Melendez was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a Class D felony. Melendez was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

Man Charged In Theft Caught On Video At Pearl River Brew House A 20-year-old from River Vale, NJ was charged on Monday after Orangetown Police released a video of a suspect stealing an American flag at a Pearl River restaurant. Camera footage was recovered of the suspect in a white T-shirt and dark pants who tore an American flag hanging from outside the Brew House in Pearl River on July 22, prompting police to ask for the public's help in locating him.
