Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Memorial Field Renovation Moves Forward In Mount Vernon MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon is now officially cleaning up city landmark Memorial Field. The Mount Vernon Board of Estimate and Contract passed authorization Friday for the City of Mount Vernon to agree to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s consent order. By this order, the City of Mount Vernon has paid a fine of $40,000 for the environmental concerns at Memorial Field and officially begins the process of cleaning-up the impacted areas at the field. Expect Delays, Motorists: I-684 Lane Closures Planned For Saturday Motorists are being advised that the left and center lanes on a stretch of southbound Interstate 684 will be closed on Saturday, April 1, while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting. Motorists should anticipate delays. The lanes are scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. between Exit 9 (I-84) and Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road). Poughkeepsie Man Gets Maximum Sentence After Third Violent Felony POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A Dutchess County man with a long criminal history will be spending at least 25 years behind bars, according to a report by The Poughkeepsie Journal. In December, jurors found Marcus Black, 58, of Poughkeepsie, guilty of second-degree burglary for breaking into a LaGrange home three years ago and stealing several guns, The Poughkeepsie Journal reported. Taconic State Parkway Reopens After Crash This story has been updated. A stretch of the northbound Taconic State Parkway has reopened on Thursday morning.after a serious motor-vehicle crash resulted in its closure. The closure, reported just before 8 a.m., was at Bryant Pond Road in Putnam Valley. There were arubber-necking delays on the southbound side. Armonk Could See New Round Of Accumulating Snow Old Man Winter could be making an unwelcome return to the area on Friday. According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of snow from early Friday morning until around noon with snowfall accumulation of a half-inch possible in Northern Westchester, and Putnam.
