Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Humpback Whale Carcass Found On Long Island Authorities are working to determine the cause of death of a humpback whale that was found on Long Island. At about 4 p.m. Thursday, June 1, the carcass of the whale floated into Shinnecock Bay in Southampton. Southampton Town Police officers and staff from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Atlantic Marine Conservation Society then arrived on the scene. Sexual Predator Sting: Attorney Nabbed After Arranging To Meet Girl In Hudson Valley, DA Says An undercover investigation in the Hudson Valley has led to the arrest of a Long Island attorney who is accused of preying on a minor using online platforms. Swings In Temps, Plume Of Smoke From Wildfires Highlight 5-Day Forecast A cold front that passed through the region has led to the arrival of cooler temperatures in the area, but the next few days will see a swing back to warmer conditions before another shift for the weekend. According to Nassau County Police, Morad Malkiel, age 81, and Rachel Malkiel, age 76, were last seen driving their 2012, gray, Subaru Impreza, NY registration KZD-9251, at around 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 29, Nassau County Police said. Fatal Crash: SUV Slams Into Support Column At Parking Garage In Stamford A man was killed after a crash at a parking garage in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. Friday, May 26 in Stamford. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling northbound on Houston Terrace when the vehicle drove across all lanes of traffic on East Main Street at a very high rate of speed, the Stamford Police Department said. Body Found In Naugatuck River During Memorial Day Parade In CT A local resident attending a Memorial Day Parade in a Connecticut town noticed a body in a nearby river. The incident happened on Sunday morning, May 28 in New Haven County during festivities being held in Seymour. According to the Seymour Police Department, the resident observed the body in the Naugatuck River under the Broad Street Bridge. Warning Issued By Fairfield Police About Confronting Those Attempting Vehicle Break-Ins Police are warning residents about confronting individuals attempting to break into their vehicles after a recent incident in Fairfield County.
