Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Police Search For Suspect Who Jumped Behind Counter During Long Island Store Robbery A suspect who police say jumped behind the counter during a robbery at a gas station is at large. The incident happened in Franklin Square at around 6:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24. The man entered the BP gas station located at 740 Hempstead Turnpike, pointed a small black firearm at the sales clerk, and demanded money from the register, Nassau County Police said. The man then jumped behind the counter removing an unknown amount of US currency and multiple cartons of cigarettes before fleeing in an unknown direction. Projected Snowfall Amounts Released For Potent Storm Taking Aim On Region Projected snowfall totals have been released for a potentially significant storm on track for the Northeast early this week. After a partly sunny start to the day, the system is currently due to arrive late Monday afternoon, Feb. 27, or early Monday evening, and continue into late in the morning on Tuesday, Feb. 28. Person Injured In New Rochelle Shots-Fired Incident With Bullet Landing Half-Mile Away: Police A person was injured in a shots-fired incident in which one of the bullets landed about a half-mile away in Westchester, according to police. The incident happened just before 9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 in New Rochelle. The New Rochelle Police Department said it received multiple calls of shots fired in the area of 371 Main St. Upon arrival, New Rochelle PD officers located one shooting victim who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Woman Seriously Injured After Car Slams Into Sign, Overturns On Sunrise Highway In Manorville A woman suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on a busy Long Island roadway. The woman was driving on the Sunrise Highway (Route 27), west of Wading River Road in Manorville when she apparently lost control of the vehicle which left the roadway. around 3:40 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, Suffolk County Police said. Potentially Significant Storm Could Be Coming: Wintry Blast Will Bring Separate Snow Chances A blast of wintry weather will lead to separate chances for snowfall through early next week, including what could be a more significant storm. Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Long Island Gas Station A suspect is on the loose after an armed robbery at a Long Island gas station. Nassau County Police say the man entered the Speedway station in North Bellmore located 2426 Jerusalem Ave. at around 5:10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, then jumped up onto the counter and displayed a black handgun demanding cash.
