Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

39-Year-Old Killed In Crash Causing Long Island Expressway Closure In North Hills One person was killed in a two-vehicle overnight crash that led to the hours-long closure of a stretch of the Long Island Expressway. It happened just before 2 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9 in North Hills on the westbound side. A 39-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police Paramedic. State Trooper Injured In Hit-Run Crash In Port Chester Police are investigating after a New York State trooper was injured in a hit-and-run crash overnight. It happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties in the village of Port Chester. A marked state police car was parked on the shoulder of I-95 on the southbound side in the area of mile marker 14.9 when an unknown vehicle struck the trooper who was walking back to the patrol car after removing debris from the roadway, according to NY State Police. 52-Year-Old Killed In Crash That Caused Long Island Expressway Closure In Melville Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that caused the closure of a stretch of the Long Island Expressway. It happened around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 in Melville. James Dawson, age 52, of the Bronx, was driving a Ford E350 van westbound, just west of Exit 49, when his vehicle struck the center median, Suffolk County Police said. Ex-Attorney From Briarcliff Manor Sentenced For Stealing More Than $3.7M From Clients A former attorney in New York has been sentenced for stealing millions from clients. Second Hurricane Of '22 Season Forms Off Atlantic Coast: Here's Projected Path, Timing For Earl Tropical Storm Earl strengthened to a Category 1 storm overnight to become the second hurricane of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season. Bergen County Man Victim Of Double Fatal Wrong-Way NY Crash: Police A Bergen County man was identified by authorities as one of the two people killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash overnight in New York. George Gonzalez, 68, of Dumont, was heading north in the southbound lanes of I-87 in a 2017 Toyota RAV4, when he drove into a 2022 Nissan Altima around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 in Tuxedo, New York State Police said. It happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 in Orange County on I-87 in the town of Tuxedo.
