Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Serious Crash Expected To Cause Hours-Long Road Closure In Hawthorne A serious crash is expected to cause an hours-long road closure in Northern Westchester. The crash happened late Friday morning, June 3 in the hamlet of Hawthorne on Route 9A at Skyline Drive. Town of Mount Pleasant Police said motorists should expect the road to be closed in that area up to 3 p.m. Friday. Details on the crash have not yet been released. Man Dies Days After Being Struck By SUV Near Hempstead Intersection A man has died from injuries he suffered after he was struck by an SUV on Long Island. The crash happened in Hempstead on Sunday, May 29 at around 1:10 a.m., according to Nassau County Police. The man was crossing Fulton Avenue near Clinton Street when he was hit by the 2013 Mercedes Benz SUV, according to police. The driver of the SUV, Alrich Braide, age 34, of Hempstead, who remained at the scene, was charged with driving with a suspended license. New Monkeypox Case Identified In NY Another person has tested positive for monkeypox in New York. That brings the number of cases in the state to five, with all the cases being in New York City so far. "We are monitoring the situation and will investigate any other suspected cases," the NYC Department of Health said. 22-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Expressway Crash In Manorville Police are investigating after a 22-year-old was killed in a crash on the Long Island Expressway overnight. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2 in Manorville. Matthew Lightsey, of Babylon, was operating a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe on westbound side, when he lost control of his vehicle between exits 69 and 68 and struck a bridge abutment and overturned, Suffolk County Police said. Saratoga County resident Katryn R. Fisher, of Ballston Spa, was age 22.
