Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Dies From Injuries Suffered In Long Beach Shooting A man who was critically injured has died after a weekend Long Island shooting. It happened on Saturday, March 19 at around 2:20 a.m. in Long Beach. The victim was shot in the vicinity of 425 East Broadway and sustained severe injuries, Nassau County Police said. Long Beach Police responded and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. 24-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Wyandanch Crash Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened just after 11 a.m. Monday, March 21 in Wyandanch. Matthew J. Grinvalsky, age 24, of Lindenhurst, was riding a 1985 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Long Island Avenue when he collided with a 2006 Ford pickup truck being driven by a 52-year-old Wyandanch woman, who was attempting to make a left turn from Lake Drive to westbound Long Island Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. Missing Suffolk County Man Found Dead Update: A missing Long Island man has been found dead, authorities have announced. Trevor Verga, age 45, of Kings Park, last spoke to a family member on the phone at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday, March 20, according to Suffolk County Police. He was reported missing by a family member at approximately 2:15 p.m. that date.
