DUI Driver Charged In Crash That Killed Motorcyclist, 25, In Middlesex County: Prosecutor
Charges have been filed against a 61-year-old Perth Amboy man in connection with a deadly crash last month, authorities said. Jorge Lopez surrendered to local police on Friday, Sept. 20, and was charged with one count of second-degree vehicular homicide, DUI, and other motor vehicle offenses, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. A 31-year-old homeless man was lodged in the Bergen County Jail after authorities said he attacked a 61-year-old woman leaving her with a brain bleed and other injuries over the weekend in Englewood, police said. The victim, a 61-year-old Englewood resident was on her way to work when she was attacked by Kemarley McIntosh, a former city resident, at Forest Avenue and Overpeck Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, Englewood Police Lt. Paramus police have identified the victim struck and killed on Route 17 over the weekend. Demaris D. Martinez, 28, of Hillsdale, was struck by a car then run over by a tractor-trailer around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. The 61-year-old man and former chief of a local fire department has been indicted in a crash that left a 15-year-old girl dead, authorities in Bergen County said. There are still roles to fill in the sequel to cult classic "Happy Gilmore" ahead of an upcoming shoot in New Jersey. A recent casting call is seeking golf spectators for the Adam Sandler film.
