Friends and loved ones were rallying to support the family of a college student from Burlington County who was killed by a suspected drunk driver, according to a fundraising campaign. Crash Knocks Down Utility Pole, Closes Part Of Route 40 In South Jersey
A crash knocked down a utility pole in downtown Mays Landing, closing part of a busy road in both directions during morning rush hour, officials said. Township of Hamilton police said officers were responding to the crash on Route 40 East between Route 50 and Forty Wire Road on Wednesday, Apr. 3, the department posted on Facebook. South Jersey Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Tree
A Pemberton Township man died when his car crashed into a tree in Ocean County, authorities said. Stafford Township police responded to the wreck on County Route 539 near milepost 11.5 at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 2, the department said in a news release. Investigators said 30-year-old Gogi Jailava of Browns Mills was driving south when he lost control of his 2008 Toyota Yaris. His car left the road and hit a tree. A fugitive wanted in the Philadelphia area for more than five years was caught in Atlantic County, authorities said. Nyieem Ruff, 44, of Philadelphia, was arrested on Saturday, Mar. 23, the Brigantine Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Apr. 2. Toms River police released more information after someone stole about $1 million in jewelry from a store in the Ocean County Mall. A serious crash shut down both directions of a road in Monmouth County for several hours, officials said. Howell Township police said Route 33 was closed between Yellow Brook Road and Route 34 on Tuesday, Apr. 2 for a "serious crash investigation," the department said in a Facebook post.
